Perfect and elegant travel writing desk, entirely inlaid with precious woods (burr, boxwood, ebony). In the center of the flap is an inlaid and engraved brass coat of arms.
The desk has been completely overhauled "therefore perfectly functional" the painting resumed with dewaxed shellac as originally, and indeed brought back to its former splendor.
The key and the two inkwells are its original and perfect, as well as the internal blue velvet has been disinfected and left even though partly consumed, because it really gives a magic touch of history... (it's still possible to replace it).
Conservation: in perfect condition.
Period: 1850 the way to inlay is in Louis XVI style
