This is a sculpture in classic style, in bronze-patinated spelter metal.
It depicts a young barefoot peasant woman, dressed in rural 19th-century clothing, with a basket of fruit and flowers gathered in her apron and a shepherd's staff in her right hand. At her feet are two geese, suggesting a rural or rustic setting.
On the marbled base of the statue is a plaque with the inscription: "RETOUR À LA FERME" Par L. et F. Moreau Médaille d'Or
