Important pendulum clock, with red Levanto marble and bronze signed James Pradier (1790-1852), representing Sappho "Greek priestess" of the goddess Venus, protector of young girls.
The mechanism is doubly stamped Pons medaille d'or 1827 (Pierre-Honorè-Cèsar Pons 1773-1851), an important watchmaker in Paris.
Completely restored (revised mechanism, polished marble and bronze) and restored to its original splendor.
