Beautiful marble sculpture of a maiden signed Sola' (Antoni Sola' 1787-1861) Sola' Antoni Sculptor (Barcelona 1787 – Rome 1861). He directed the association of Spanish artists pensioned in Rome, where he was a member (1816) and director for three years (1837-40) of the Accademia di S. Luca; he was also honorary chamber sculptor to Queen Isabella II of Spain (1846). He executed the bronze statue for the monument to Cervantes, and the monument to L. Daoíz and P. Velarde, in Madrid. in perfect condition without any breaks or repairs!...
