Perfect column clock with a lacquered wooden case featuring a colorful print application on the lower part, created with original 'arte povera' (poor art) technique. The mechanism is decorated with embossed brass (thin sheet type) and hand-painted. The dial is made of ceramicized sheet metal, decorated and signed 'Berthelot à Varzy'. The case and mechanism have been professionally restored in our workshops. Lever escapement mechanism, overhauled with disassembly and cleaning of each individual part. Punched and recalibrated bushings. Lifetime warranty! Winding with rope latch and weights, including 'original to the mechanism'. Chime (Ding, with a large bell made of 80% copper and 20% tin alloy, original), chimes the hour and half hour (the hour is struck on the hour and at 5 minutes past).
